A pair of shiny copper finish, cast metal Jenfred-Ware by Raymor bookends, circa 1950's.  They were designed by Ben Seibel and are a fine example of his signature metal accessories. The cast metal bookends are in original condition and feature open triangles with knobs to the top. Seibel's design "BE 118" is marked "Jenfred Ware" at each base, and one features an original brand sticker on green felt to the underside with the company’s fabulous tagline of “Modern in the tradition of good taste.”  This is a hard to find shape from his metal accessory series.

TIDBIT

Ben Seibel (American, 1918-1985) is quoted as saying that the study of sculpture is one of the most important forces in his approach to design. His first love was the study of music, then painting, sculpture, architecture, and finally industrial design at Pratt after time served in the US Air Force. His started his own studio where he and his staff produced a wide variety of items, from dinnerware to glassware, from furniture to lighting, including his signature metal accessories and brass bookends
