Gooseberry was one of the first four printed patterns released on the opal ware Pyrex line.  The pattern is made up of gooseberry leaves, flowers and berries and is one of the most collected patterns in the Pyrex genre.  Pink Gooseberry items command more attention than the other colors it came in.  Most Gooseberry dishes are pink on white backgrounds or white with pink backgrounds.  

TIDBIT

Gooseberry, (along with Butterprint) was the first pattern printed on the new Cinderella Nesting Bowls (the bowls with handles/spouts).

CONDITION

Very good.  Wonderful vintage condition.  Minimal wear to the pattern as expected for an item of this age and use.

DIMENSIONS

9.5" L (from handle to handle) x 6.75" W. It has a capacity of 1.5 qts.
